ReplyDeleteJust wanted to clarify that the deal is available to purchase until 3/18/2011 (this Friday), but you can actually use the coupon until 3/18/2012 (next year).

ReplyDeleteI've used Groupon once, last year, and had a good experience. One nice thing about them is that they send you a reminder at the end of the year about any unused offers; it's not like various web gift certificates I've gotten through no-name places that I promptly lost and for which I had no information.
If I give someone a web certificate for a company, I tend to use Amazon because I can check whether the recipient redeemed it and send him or her an email if it hasn't been used.
I bought the Groupon Mood offer. I didn't realize that the deadline applied only to the purchase date; I was relying on something another reader said. I'll have to check. Thanks.
Although the Groupon email always contains a certain amount of gratuitous, unfunny copy under the photo of the cat (you'll see), at least they pulled and apologized for that stupid ad about Tibet that ran during the Super Bowl. I complained, along with I don't know how many others.

My daughters live in Chicago and use Groupon a lot. Groupon recently expanded to the greater Detroit area, and tho the offerings don't seem to be as great as the ones in Chicago, they are getting better and better. We love Groupon!
