Groupon for Mood Fabrics

Many thanks to readers Clio and Isabel for calling to my attention the Groupon deal for Mood Fabrics (in-store only). Click here for all the details; it expires 3/18/11.

My sister swears by Groupon, but I have yet to use it. What about you, readers? Have you Grouponed yet?

I love Groupon and have never had a problem with this. Off to read the fine print to see if I can use this at Mood in Los Angeles....

Just wanted to clarify that the deal is available to purchase until 3/18/2011 (this Friday), but you can actually use the coupon until 3/18/2012 (next year).
Groupon is great! Thanks for this tip!

Short Answer: It's a decent service.

I've used Groupon once, last year, and had a good experience. One nice thing about them is that they send you a reminder at the end of the year about any unused offers; it's not like various web gift certificates I've gotten through no-name places that I promptly lost and for which I had no information.

If I give someone a web certificate for a company, I tend to use Amazon because I can check whether the recipient redeemed it and send him or her an email if it hasn't been used.

I bought the Groupon Mood offer. I didn't realize that the deadline applied only to the purchase date; I was relying on something another reader said. I'll have to check. Thanks.

Although the Groupon email always contains a certain amount of gratuitous, unfunny copy under the photo of the cat (you'll see), at least they pulled and apologized for that stupid ad about Tibet that ran during the Super Bowl. I complained, along with I don't know how many others.

You probably know this, but if you join Groupon, state your sister referred you and buy something, she'll get a credit; I think it's $10.

My daughters live in Chicago and use Groupon a lot. Groupon recently expanded to the greater Detroit area, and tho the offerings don't seem to be as great as the ones in Chicago, they are getting better and better. We love Groupon!

Is there an online code for this groupon at Mood Fabrics. I live in Alabama so I would have to order online from them,

Rachel, I'm no aware of an online Mood coupon. But if you sign up to receive Mood's emails, you'll be eligible for their online sales.
