Sale at Lace Star: 25%/40% Off Everything
Head over the Lace Star pronto (215 W. 40th St., NYC) if you want to catch the final days of their 25%/40-off sale. I popped in at lunch today and it was only because I exercised great restraint that I didn't walk out with anything. Brocades, laces, trims and anything with beading are 25% off; the rest of the store is 40% off. This means you can get silk charmeuse for around $10.80/yd and 4-ply silk around $23/yd. I don't think you can do better than that in the Garment District right now, so grab your shopping bag and get over there fast.

Thanks for the heads up. I will head over there as I do need some guipure lace and silk charmeuse for a project.
ReplyDeleteI bought many pieces of fabric at Star Lace 18 months ago. (No so easy to shop in NY when you live in Canada) They had so many yummy things. I ended up with a charcoal grey/white check, charcoal tweed wool, charcoal silk charmeuse (sensing a theme here?), and black 4-ply silk. It's probably just as well I don't live closer.... Fabulous store!
ReplyDeleteWow - sorry I'm not in the city right now! I hope this huge sale doesn't mean they're closing or anything! They have wonderful fabrics & their brocades (upstairs) aren't too expensive (at least I don't think so). They're nicely arranged by color. The owner (?) was there last time & was very helpful, cutting a little extra here & there for me. They'll sell as little as 1/4 yard if that's all you need, and not give you a hard time about it (like some places in the city).
